DONE: Support SAML Authentication for SSO

+2 votes

To support SSO with our external auth providers, it would be great if DBFront could support SAML authentication. Nearly all SSO providers support SAML apps so this would allow integration with a wide variety of providers like Azure Active Directory or OKTA.

With SAML support, our users wouldn't have to enter login credentials into the application. They would be authenticated via the provider and then use a token to authenticate automatically.

As of version 1.0.14.0369, dbFront allows you to setup SAML 2 based SSO.

Enabling Single-Sign-On will disable Windows and Database authentication.

dbFront can use the SSO managed groups to allow you to grant full Admin privileges to a specific set of users. These administrators can do everything EXCEPT change server settings.

dbFront can also use SSO Groups to manage connection Update / Read access.
