Fixed: SAML Properties Application Id field isn't long enough and cuts off the Id provided, can it be increased?

The application ID provided by Google is too long for application Id field in the SAML properties window. I'm not sure what to do or if I can do anything to increase it.

Fixed: Layout Group - Wrong column behaviour

I have upgraded to Version 1.0.14.2801 today and everything went fine so far. The only problem I encountered is how layout groups are handled. LayoutGroups used to be completely in one column as far as I can see in old screenshots. But now they span over multiple columns and there border/caption behaviour is odd.

The Caption is half in one column and half in the next one

The border of the layout group expands over multiple columns, this feels odd

Depending on the data it happens, that only the caption or only the closing line of the layout group is alone in one row

Is there an option I did not find to define how layout groups behave?
Thanks.

Fixed: Can't get data, Argument data type image is invalid for argument 1 of len function.

With Version: 1.0.14.2801, I am getting Error: "Data Error: Can't get data, Argument data type image is invalid for argument 1 of len function."

In my existing database, I have a table with a column of "image" Data Type and no issue here.
However, if I create a new database, with the table in which I have one column with the "image" Data Type, then I see issue above as soon as the page loads in dbFront

Fixed: Remember me checkbox not working.

I recently upgraded to 14.2561, and since doing so the "Remember Me" checkbox on the login page doesn't retain the login ID. When logging out and then back in the checkbox is still checked, but the previous login ID doesn't populate. Is there a setting somewhere that changed on this? I've dug around and haven't found anything. Thanks!

When importing a CSV with only 140 lines I get the error message:

Confused as to what the problem is. The Data Type hasn't changed.

Fixed: Email address space

When setting up the email config I attempted to use the Test Email function. When doing so I ran out of characters when entering my email address. Apparently it's set to have a max character count of 32 and unfortunately my email address has 33.

Is there a setting somewhere that can change that max character count?

Fixed: Fix Column Support for Chrome and New Edge

I think we've some discussions about this in the past, but with Microsoft now providing Edge based on Chromium, I'd like you to consider providing proper support for Chromium based browsers.
The problem with using a Chromium based browser (specifically Chrome or Edge) is not that dbFront doesn't work - it just doesn't render the screen formats as it should.
In my case, it just doesn't render the layout groups as I want them - in particular it doesn't obey the Layout-Forms-Max Columns. I can't get it to render more than 2 columns irrespective of how i define the form & column widths.
With Edge now the default Microsoft browser and mainstream support for IE 11 due to end on 14th Oct 2020, perhaps it's time to make dbFront "Edge compliant".

Fixed: Data type "bit" not showing the right outcome

I have columns with "bit" Data Type and wanted to show True, False or Blank in the table grid.

If I select the checkbox with the checkmark, data shows as True which is correct but leaving the checkbox as blank or "-", data in the dbFront shows as there is no value selected (blank) although the table in the Database does show as blank for checkbox with "-" selected and False if checkbox was left unchecked.

This is what I would expect to see (items marked in red) with each selection
Fixed: Column treated as a boolean (Oracle)

I see in 2018 release history that dbFront has the following feature :
Allow any Integer or Text field to be treated as a boolean

As my DB is Oracle, I have no boolean column type.
I'm usually creating such columns as NUMBER (1/0) or CHAR(1) (Y/N).

Unfortunately, it doesn't seems to fully work in dbFront (1.0.12.612).
If the column is a number, 1 are correctly displayed as true, 0 as false, but changing the value (checkbox) cause a error message during data saving.

Am I missing something ?
Maybe my column types are wrong, what is the expected Oracle column types ?
Documentation does not give detail about column subtype "Boolean".

In advance, many thanks for you help
Table changes not captured on refresh

(Running dbFront Version:1.0.8.2641)

It'd be great if the refresh from DB process removed deleted/renamed columns from search and sort field lists.

Steps to reproduce
-- öööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööö
CREATE TABLE dbo.test
(TestId INT IDENTITY(1,1) PRIMARY KEY NONCLUSTERED
,TestColumnToKeep INT
,TestColumnToRemove INT
)
GO

INSERT INTO dbo.test (TestColumnToKeep,TestColumnToRemove)
VALUES(1,2),(2,3)
GO

-- öööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööö
Refresh dbFront, add the table, configure form by including TestColumnToRemove in search and sort

-- öööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööö
Return to sql & exec the statement:

ALTER TABLE dbo.test DROP COLUMN TestColumnToRemove
GO

-- öööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööööö
-- refresh dbFront
Go to Main --> Test
Get error
"Data Error: Can't get data, Windowed functions and NEXT VALUE FOR functions do not support constants as ORDER BY clause expressions."

TestColumnToRemove remains in the "Selected" table fields with (deleted) and remains in the sort box. I assume this is the error cause.

Moving it from "Selected" to "Options" and clicking save gives error:
The value [TestColumnToRemove] is not a valid [Search Field]

Removing from the search fields allows save.
Now if you click the gear icon to configure the table the column TestColumnToRemove is gone.
