Create new record with no user-entered data

Question

Is there any way to create and save a new record without any user input? E.g. on a header-like table that would just generate an ID and capture audit values for date and user.

This could be made to work except that dbFront currently disables the Save button when it appears that there is nothing to save.

Sometimes you can hit CNTRL-S and force the save but if there are no editable fields then that won't work either.

Let me know if that is a problem.

Thanks. I do have one optional editable field in this scenario. CNTRL-S does work but only after I give that field focus.
