The jQueryUI themes included with dbFront are starting to look a bit old. It also looks like jQueryUI is no longer under active development.
It would be great if dbFront could support Bootstrap themes.
jQueryUI is not dead yet by a long shot. At the moment, it appears to be used by 18 million websites and holding (according to BuiltWith)
Using Drupal's stats (Drupal Project Usage), jQueryUI is still twice as popular as Bootstrap.
Using the NPM stats based on the types shows the jQueryUI is definately still actively used.

One of the largest benefits of jQueryUI is the ThemeRoller which makes it trivial for clients to custom create their own themes.
