Show Field Preferences gear in table headers

+2 votes

One for the "not really needed but nice to have" pile - Render a Field Preferences gear in the table column headers, in addition to the form fields. Currently, changing settings on a table-only field requires you to add it back to the form, change settings, then remove from form.

I agree that I need to make this better.  At the same time, the Admin UI is starting to look quite cluttered and I am not sure I want to add to the clutter.  I was thinking of some other way to give admins the ability to change the properties of all fields.

I don't want to add more clutter but I definitely need to solve this. I will likely add a button to the table config that shows a dialog where you can access all fields. Not yet sure what the UI should look like.
